Historical Note

Cruet stands like this became popular during the Victorian dining era (midtolate 1800s), when table condiments were presented in elaborate silver or silverplated caddies filled with finecut glass bottles. Makers across Sheffield and Birmingham, such as Elkington, Walker & Hall, and others, produced exquisite EPBM examples similar in design to this piece.
