Description:

This item is a vintage original etching watercolored on silk, depicting a scenic view of Salzburg, Austria, including its historic architecture and Alpine backdrop. The central focus is a shingled-roofed watchtower on a stone wall path, leading the viewer’s eye toward the Salzburg Cathedral and surrounding domed churches with mountains looming in the distance. This unique artwork combines printmaking and hand-coloring techniques on delicate silk fabric, adding texture and depth to the scene.


The artwork is signed on the bottom right corner, and the left edge is marked with “Salzburg” along with what appears to be a second faded signature or title inscription. A handwritten note on the back identifies the medium:
