M. Leadbetter of Cornwall painted bird figurines, three sculptural pieces depicting four birds in total: one single wren, a pair of wrens together on one integral base, and one robin. The underside inscriptions show M. Leadbetter, Cornwall, with 1979 on the robin, 1980 on the single wren and 1981 on the wren pair.

The figurines have naturalistic brown, cream and grey colouring, with an orange-red breast on the robin. They are recorded as resin; the precise resin/composite formulation is not independently established. Refer to the tape-measure photographs for scale. The three figures with their integral bases are sold together as one lot. The mirrored display tray is not included.

Condition: Acceptable. One wren has visible tip damage on its beak and tail, shown in the close-up photographs. Other figures show mild surface wear consistent with age; paint details are mostly well preserved. No separate display stands or original boxes are included. Please inspect all 14 photographs and the 36-second video carefully.
