Arithmetic by Charles Pendlebury, fourteenth edition, revised, George Bell and Sons, London, 1901. English-language mathematics textbook in brown cloth with gilt spine lettering and blind-stamped decoration. Includes decimal calculations, proportion, commercial and practical arithmetic. One book is supplied as photographed, including the publisher’s advertising material shown.

Ex-library reading/reference copy with Colliery School stamps, heavily worn cloth, fraying at both spine ends and age-toned pages. The text block is separating: several sections and pages are loose or becoming detached, including the opening at pages 142–143. The binding is fragile and requires careful handling. Rebinding, reinforcement and reattachment of sections may be needed; this is a restoration project rather than a sound collectible copy. Please inspect all 17 photos. Completeness and an exact page count have not been independently verified.
