About Carl Scheidig Porcelain: The Carl Scheidig porcelain factory was established in 1906 in Gräfenthal, a town in the Thuringia region of Germany, which is famous for its long and rich history of porcelain manufacturing. The company quickly gained a reputation for producing highquality decorative figurines, groups, and giftware, often in the popular Rococo Revival style. The crowned "NC" mark seen on these pieces was one of the factory's primary marks used from around 1935 until the company was nationalised in 1972. Pieces by Carl Scheidig are appreciated by collectors for their fine craftsmanship and charming designs.
